If we ban guns in the US than we will be left with only two types of people having guns, authorities and criminals. And guess what-this would leave us the citizens at the mercy of the criminals and waiting 10-20 minutes for the police to arrive. By then most likely it will have been too late. The other would be the tyranny of Government. Read about the history of the Second Amendment.

For example; Japan is an island and is much easier to regulate the importing of arms but we are not an island and it would be impossible to regulate the illegal importation of guns, as it is already.

People believe by supporting gun control and banning guns they are supporting more safety for our citizens when in actuality it does the exact opposite and it would take the guns out of the citizens hands and puts them into the hands of criminals.

For another comparison, Switzerland has one of the highest gun ownership rates in the world, with somewhere between 1.2 to 3 million guns in the private residences of its approximately 8 million citizens. In 2006 there were 34 recorded murders or attempted murders with a gun, representing a firearm homicide rate of 1 per 250,000.

Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Did you know that more children die from drowning in pools than by guns? Read this article to find out more http://scienceblogs.com/deltoid/2001/07/27/levittpoolsvsguns/?
